Black and Speaking Spanish: How I Met Yanilsa

I met Yanilsa on the app named Tandem. I have messaged at least 500 women on that app, because it is  a great way to practice speaking Spanish and learn a little about different cultures from your own home.  But most of my conversations eventually would dry up due to lack of interest or just being busy.

 

However I started messaging Yanilsa in June of 2019 and we still talk today. The reason why our conversation went beyond Tandem is because she really has helped me improve my Spanish,  she's a great listener and will help me correct my mistakes and is very receiving of respectful compliments. 

In today's PC culture giving a woman compliment on how she looks can sometimes be tricky. But as long as the compliments are respectful she is always receiving of how I may comment on her voice, hair or figure. 

This has really helped me improve as it relates to learning how to speak to women in Spanish.
